Does a gathering become mixed purely due to there being no segregation between the sexes,, where both share the same “space”, or is there more to it? Would it depend on how much “random mingling” was occurring? Does a “mixed gathering” become excusable if its done for a reason or a cause (such as conferences, charity event etc). Mingling with the opposite sex for reasons (such as work, uni etc) is usually seen as excusable – however anything outside of these spheres is seen as “free mixing”.

Are mixed gatherings REALLY as fitnafied (where there is the “potential” for attraction – “sexual” energy buzzing around the room as some people put it) as people perceive them to be?

Do you attend “mixed gatherings”?

If so, why do you? If not, then why not?
