When you are with everyone but Me, you are with no one.
When you are with no one but Me, you are with everyone.
Instead of being so bound up with everyone,
When you become that many,
you are nothing.
Wow…..Deep as the Ocean! Sounds more like a Lover’s sonnet……love letter kind of! Dont know what rumi means by this poem, what its about?
I had a feeling you were gonna post something now Sumera…….my sixth sense :p
Nice piece anyway🙂
The entire goal of the Sufi path is in Rumi’s poem, Alhamdulillah!
I think i get Rumi’s poem now, Alhumdulillah.
Good stuff – i want to name my son after rumi!
Remind me of a quote of Dr Shari’ati:
“Those who are many, dont need countryman. Those who are free, dont worry about prison. Just those who are nothing, need to have many fellows out there!”
wow.. deep.. i love it xx
Rumi has had a special place in my heart and his words have been many a time a salve to the wounds from walking the path. If You dont mind I would like to share a favorite poem of his with you.
MUSIC AND SILENCE
Lover, union is here,
the meeting we have wanted,
the fire, the joy.
Let sadness and any fear of death
leave the room.
The sun’s glory comes back.
Wind shakes our bells.
We are counters in your hand
passing easily through.
Your silences deepens that.
Were you to put words with this
we would not survive the song.
